This is an old toy taxi cab bank that is marked Arcade and Made in U. It is marked Yellow cab Co. On both rear doors. It is hard to make out what it says on the roof, but it appears to be ZUMSTEIN and CANAL 2100. I believe Zumstein was a taxi cab company in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. The car features wheels that roll and a removable coin trap in order to remove saved coins inserted into the passenger area of the car through a slot in the roof. All cast iron with cast metal replacement driver and steel bank trap. Measures about 7-7/8 inches long. Overall in GOOD, SOLID, PLAYED-WITH CONDITION. It has decent ORIGINAL PAINT with paint chips, scratches, paint cracks, alligatoring, and playwear. The right front wheel has a chip out of the middle of the hub that shows to the inside only. Otherwise, the cast iron is all good with no chips, cracks, or breaks. The lettering on the roof is mostly gone. The driver is a replacement, and is not made of iron. The bank trap cover is a replacement. All of the wheels sit a bit crooked on the axle shafts. This is a great old toy taxi cab bank to that will be a great addition to any antique toy, still or mechanical bank, or taxi cab collection.
