He is smiling big and looking good, waiting to go to his new home! There are 5 up close and personal photos to see every inch of him, However that photo of the base makes it look like the back base is nickel plated. BUT it is not! Somehow the flash made it look like that. He may have been repainted on the front at one time, but that had to be many, many years ago because that paint is also worn through. I’m guessing about that because there are paint drops on the base. They could be cleaned off, but I do nothing to old items! The paint on his lips has chips and the cast iron underneath is very smoooooth. His eyes are worn off, but I prefer to think he is just asleep, right? He is a bit different than the “Young “N” Bank” because he has holes on his back and no words. He is shown in “THE PENNY BANK BOOK” by the Moore’s on page 71, center shelf, M#170 and rated “C”. He is 4 1/2 high and probably made around the early 1900’s in England with no known maker. No breaks or cracks of course, just a happy fellow with a big grin, ready to hold your coins. That’s only fair and all sellers should do it, but they don’t! WE SUPER PACK EVERYTHING WE SALE FOR EXTRA PROTECTION WHILE IN THE POSTAL SYSTEM! GUARANTEED OLD AND AUTHENTIC! Please use the checkout.
