Here is the “Gem” cast iron mechanical bank in exceptional all original condition offered at NO RESERVE. The Gem bank was produced by the Judd Manufacturing Co. In Wallingford Connecticut in the 1880’s. This bank is the japaned with green wash variation; you will be very hard pressed to find a finer example. This is the action: pull the dog to the back of the bank and place a coin on his tray. Lifting his tail causes him to slide forward and deposit the coin into the house.
