This is not one of the later reproductions. This is the real deal original. It was discovered after being in storage for many, many years. The condition is nice considering that it is over 130 years old. Some of the paint has come off and that is normal. It would be near impossible to find one with all of the paint in my opinion. All of the parts work on this bank. The bottom opens to allow removal of the coins. The switch still works that propels the dog upward to drop the coins into the barrel. It is a solid piece of work. The key is included and it works perfectly. It is attached to the bank with a piece of yarn. If the piece was cleaned by a pro it would look even better.
