RARE Antique 1894 NICOL & CO. Cast Iron FRUIT BASKET PUZZLE BANK Fruit Top
Presented for your consideration is this rare antique puzzle bank. The cast iron bank is in the shape of a fruit basket and was made in 1894 by Nicol & Co. The base of the bank is designed to look like a wooden slat basket with small curved handles on the left and right sides. The top has an assortment of fruits on it with a small peg in the middle and a coin slot to the side of the peg. The bank opens by unscrewing the center peg and taking the top of the base off. Nice, intricate detailing is present throughout. The bank is all original and guaranteed to be antique. This hard to find antique bank would make a great addition to any cast iron or antique bank collection! The inside of the bank has some light oxidation. A very small hole is in the top of the bank. Typical wear from age and use. Overall in GOOD-VERY GOOD condition. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
