This is a wonderful 19th century cast iron cupola bank-building coin bank, circa 1872 by J & E Steven’s, Cromwell, Connecticut. It stands approximately 4-1/8 high. The still bank is in all original red, green, and white paint with subtle traces of original mica glitter atop the white painted roof. The camera could not capture the glitter effect from the mica on the white roof. The fastening screw is intact and visible from the side, as shown in the photo. There are NO breaks, NO repairs, and NO restoration. It shows age appropriate wear with losses to the original paint, as shown in the photos. This still bank, in original paint decoration, would be a wonderful addition to any antique bank collection. Be sure to see our other listings for more antiques in various categories!
