Stevens Cast Iron Mechanical Bank with two Frogs. It works by placing a coin on the chest of the smaller frog and when you push the lever down the smaller frog’s foot shoots the coin into the larger Frogs mouth. The poly chrome paint appears to be original. It measures 9″ Long, 3 1.2″ Wide, and 4 1/2 Tall. The bank is in working order!!! There is a patent date of Feb 2, 1875 on the coin stopper on the bottom. The other surface says patent pending which would indicate it is before the approved patent of July 28, 1882. Time to move on. P lease check my other auctions this week. Ninety percent of what I sell is from estate sales and is not new. And God Bless our Troops!!
