They are guaranteed original and any defects will be addressed. Most of them are listed in The Penny Bank Book , Revised 3rd Edition by Andy Moore. This bank is an Antique Ives Cast Iron Santa Claus Bank with (not original) Christmas Tree. Made in US about 1890s. The tree is a replacement , the bolt is not original , The inside of the base looks like it was painted over a light coat of surface rust and holding strong. Paint on Santa there are a few flakes around the bolt , also on his back side and on his back by hairline. The front has flakes on pants legs , stomach , left arm , right hand , head area and around coin drop. I would say he still has over 98% of paint left on him. The size is 7 1/4 and weighs 28 oz.
