Looks to be original paint! This is a very hard bank to come across, when I look closely at the paint there are traces of silver paint in the low areas which leads me to believe at one point this bank was painted over but then most likely professionally removed. This is a very early bank made sometime between 1893 and 1907. There is a small loss on one of the side windows which is pictured. It is my opinion that when the bank was painted over in the silver paint it actually helped to preserve the original paint underneath. So when the silver paint was removed it exposed very vibrant colors to the original paint with only minor losses on the corners and some of the high raised areas. All and all my opinion is the bank is in very good to excellent condition. Dont miss this opportunity to add a very rare bank to your collection.
