RARE ANTIQUE CAST IRON J & E STEVENS FROG ON ROUND BASE MECHANICAL BANK c. EXCELLENT AGED CONDITION/HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE IN ANY CONDITION. Presenting this incredible antique cast iron mechanical bank made by J & E Stevens Company. The patent drawings and text covering the bank are identical to the bank as produced by Stevens. To use the bank, the frogs front foot is pressed down, as seen in the pictures above, causing the mouth to open. A coin is then placed the open mouth where it stays in place until the foot is released, thereby sliding through the frogs body and dropping into the base receptacle. There are three lattice sections with a bank door design on each, noticed is one bank door that is upside down as seen in the above photos.
