Vintage 100% original William Tell cast iron mechanical bank in excellent condition for your consideration. A wildly popular bank patented on June 23, 1896 and produced by the J&E Stevens Co. This bank has no cracks, no repairs and no touchup or overpaint; the colors are rich and bright with good gloss. Excellent overall Color and Condition, This bank has been well cared for over the years. The boy is also in nice shape and the apple is intact and moves as designed. A great action bank: Place a coin at the front of the rifle and pull back the launcher. William Tell’s head then lowers as if aiming at the apple. Lower the boys arm to load the apple on his head. Press the figure’s right foot and the coin fires into the castle. Designed to knock the apple off the boy’s head. Tested everything works and moves as designed, penny did miss the target.
