Offered for sale is a beautiful example of the very scarce 1927 GMC Pittsburgh taxicab with flat roof. Cast iron bank, manufactured by the Arcade Toy Co. Printed on each front door is “Green Cab Co, ” which I assume was an actual entity operating at that time. Everything appears original, from the nickel plated driver, to the Arcade sticker, to the spare tire, to the rear license plate. The paint is in pristine condition, as is the nickel plating, and I’ve no reason to believe that there has been any work done to it; I can find no evidence of repairs from breaks, cracks, chips or other damage to the piece, either. It measures 8 1/8 long x 3 5. And as can be seen from the photos, it displays wonderfully. It is missing the coin trap that would have fitted into the circular opening on the bottom of the car.
