Hard-to-find cast iron Battleship Oregon, still penny bank. This is the larger of 2 versions produced by J. Stevens from 1891 to 1906. This larger version is 6 in length and 5 tall. Very nicely detailed including raised Oregon name on each side. Very good condition with no rust, cracks, or breaks.. There is some mild paint wear due to its age, but overall wonderful condition. The Oregon battleship was in active service during the Spanish American War. It was ordered June 30th of 1890, laid down Nov. 19, 1891, launched Oct. 26, 1893 and commissioned July 15, 1896.
