A circa 1902 metal piggy (or Hog) bank. This black cast iron coin bank is shaped like a standing hog, and is assembled in two pieces with a sagittal seam and a flat-head screw on one side. This wonderful hog has nicely detailed tusks on each side. There is apparently a smaller version of this bank as well. This is the LARGER version, all ORIGINAL! Nice black cast iron color. Some black paint wear, consistent with age (well over 100 years old). 5.5″ Long x 2.75″ Tall x 2 Deep. This makes a nice addition to any collection! I’ll have another dozen or so posted soon as well.
