This little guy is shown in the best book ever written on old still cast iron banks. It is by Andy & Susan Moore and called “THE PENNY BANK BOOK”. He is on page 84 and is M472 rated “A”. An “A” is the easiest to find and an “F” is the hardest. BUT finding a really great smooth casting was not easy. So many weren’t smooth enough for my collection. So now he is for sale! Made by ARCADE from 1910 to 1934, and his bronze paint has worn off from little fingers. Very small at just 2 3/4″ tall and 4 5/8″ and he gets along well with the other old banks on the shelf! There are 6 different photos to show him from every side and yes that is a regular size gum package! That’s only fair and all sellers should do it! But they don’t!
