Offered for sale is a cast iron “Safe Deposit” combination dial coin bank, patented in 1897 and manufactured by J. Sometime between that date and 1924. He bank overall is in excellent condition, with no breaks, cracks, repairs, or other damage. The piece measures 4 high x 3 1/8. ” wide x 2 5/8″ deep. Is ornately decorated, and retains its original nickel plate finish. The combination dial turns easily and the locking mechanism works as it should. As with any bank of this vintage, there is some minor tarnishing here and there, but as can be seen from the pics, it displays beautifully.
