Here is a beautiful example of the “Hall’s Lilliput” cast iron mechanical bank. This bank was manufactured by J&E Stevens, produced in Cromwell CT. And patented on 4/24/1887. Great “patriotic” color scheme on this one with vibrant original paint, an exceptional example. There are no cracks to the cast iron and, like all of the banks designed by John Hall, the weight of the coin initiates the action: The coin laid upon the plate is carried around by the Cashier and placed in the bank.
