Fantastic antique mechanical bank by J & E Stevens featuring a colorfully painted clown sitting on a big ball or globe. It measures 8-1/2 inches tall, and the base is 5 inches square. The globe has a winding mechanism that makes it spin around while the clown is either seated or standing on his hands/head. The lever unlocks the winding mechanism, you twist the base a few times, set it down and watch it spin. The button on back of the ball releases a pin that enables the clown to stand on his head. There are no breaks or missing parts, no replaced screws, and the original coin box cover is present. I would estimate the paint condition to be about 80-85% present, and I do not believe the ball/globe was ever painted. Properly marked on bottom. Please review the photos for a complete description.
