Description : A Figural Cast Iron Bank in the form of a WWI-era 1-1/2 inch Artillery Shell, attributed to Ferrosteel Mfg. This appears to be an early variant of the M#1420 Shell Bank, but only 8-7/8 in length.. Embossed: PATENT / APPLD FOR on base. The photos are probably the best description. Condition : Good overall with wear, oxidation, soiling finish loss, pitting, etc. The flat head screw appears to be a replacement. Displays brilliantly with tremendous character!
