Antique A. C. Williams Cast Iron Gold Colored Statue of Liberty Still Penny Bank
Description: This is a nice antique cast iron penny bank in the form of the statue of liberty holding a flame in her raised right hand. The bank was painted in gold color throughout but then repainted with a beautiful green colored paint with nicely aged patina. The bank appears to be all original including the screw holding its two halves together which has remnants of gold color on it. The bank has the words STATUE OF LIBERTY in raised lettering on the front at the bottom of the base. Please see Andy and Susan Moore’s Book “The Penny Bank Book: Collecting Still Banks” published by Schiffer Publishing Ltd. In 1984 bank number 1164 page 117 for a similar example. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Size: Measures 6 1/8″ high with the base being 2 1/4″ by 2 1/4. The piece weighs about 13 ounces.
