Williams Cast Iron Still Bank Mosque Top Bank Building, Estate Fresh Bank
It depicts a small bank building with a sort of “mosque” style domed roof. It stands roughly 4 1/4 inches tall, and is comprised of two matching halves, secured together via a screw-key, which is simply inserted through both halves and given a half-turn. The overall condition is very good, and it’s taken on a very pleasing patina from age. The word “BANK” appears in raised letters on each side over the doorway arch. If I had to guess, I’d date this little guy to probably sometime in the first quarter of the 20th century. A very cute little still bank, which just surfaced out of a local estate, that should please any collector of vintage architecturally themed, cast iron still banks. Don’t miss it!
