Offered for sale is a beautiful example of an original and scarce “Sampson Safe” cast iron combination dial bank. It was manufactured circa 1902 by the Arcade Mfg. And measures about 5 1/4. High x 4 1/8 wide x 4 deep. S can be seen from the pictures, the piece is in excellent+ condition: there are. No breaks, cracks or other damage. (though there is what looks like a small casting flaw at the top of one of the rear corner posts). It retains 98%+ original nickel plate finish, and the combination lock works just as it should. This is not an easy bank to find (rated’D’ in Holz’s “The Safe Bank Book”), and it is very rare to find one in this condition.
