This is an antique “Tammany Mechanical Bank” by J. The bank was made in the form of William Tweed better known as “Boss Tweed”. The bank works by putting a coin in Boss Tweed’s hand and when it drops into his pocket he nods his head. There is some original paint with great patina and a crack on the bottom left that does not affect the bank. The high resolution pics are of the actual bank.
