SCARCE Antique Cast Iron Billiken Coin Bank. This is a heavy, antique Cast Iron Billiken Coin Bank. It was probably made by the A C Williams Co. But is not marked. There is a Patent Number on his back (#39603), cast in the iron just below the coin slot. Research shows that it was patented October 6, 1908. “Billiken” is cast on the front bottom edge of his stand. Good Luck is cast on the back bottom edge. It’s clear that the screw on the back is original. It still has traces of the faded original red paint on its head. It still has a good amount of the old, original gold surface paint on the body and most of the paint on the underside. Has more of the original paint than often seen and nice appearance. In very nice condition. This would be nice for any Cast Iron Bank or Billiken Figure Collector! It would make a nice Gift! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
