A fun, heavy bank that looks like a circus elephant sitting on a stool while on a tub. The heavy cast iron was given a gold-colored patina. There is good, deep detailing throughout. The elephant has an old slotted screw. The coin slot is on the lower back. 4″ (10.2 cm) tall x 2 ¾” (7.0 cm) deep x 2 1/8 (5.4 cm) wide. Weighs 10.8 oz (305 g). There are no cracks, breaks, dents, chips or corrosion. There is significant patina loss but it has a nice aged appearance. A name, which I cannot make out is written on the bottom of the bank. It appears to be the name of the child who owned the bank at one time. An antique cast iron bank that will add to either a bank collection or a circus theme.
