Sweet Vintage Cast Iron A. C. Williams Co. Elephant Coin or Penny Bank Gold Wash

This full-bodied little bank was probably made in the 1930’s. The original had a gold wash applied which has now begun to rub off, creating a really nice patinated effect. There are tiny areas of rust, but the mold detail is very crisp. The two halves of the bank are fastened together by a screw which may also be original since it still has its gold wash. I have not tried to remove the screw or open the bank. The back of the elephant reveals the coin slot. This vintage collectible is unmarked, but is in excellent condition with only minimal visible damage to the metal and with very minor wear. This handsome elephant is 2-3/4″ tall, 4″ long, and almost 2 wide. Check out all 11 photos! This item would make a great addition to any cast iron miniature or elephant collection.
