Antique Circa 1879 Large Cast Iron ROYAL SAFE DEPOSIT Toy Bank. Up for your consideration is a NICE Antique. Circa 1879 Large Cast Iron ROYAL SAFE DEPOSIT Toy Bank. In house inspection team notes that this item appears to have its original black paint with gold lettering. Item has a 1 1/2 coin slot on the top of the bank so user’s can easily make deposits. Combination dial (1 1/2 diameter) does turn, but does not lock. Door hinges are still good and door swings freely. Bank has minor scratching, but no known dents, dings, corrosion, and / or rust. Minor paint flaking was found on the lower back side of the bank and the item does have minor edge wear. Inspection notes that no known missing, broken, damaged, or replacement parts were found. See photos for more detail as to item’s overall condition. Dimensions – Height 6″ x Width 5 1/4″ x Depth 4 1/2. Item has four C. 1/2 legs which are included in the overall height measurement. Overall this is a very nice piece and is being offered in very nice condition, especially considering it is over 140 years of age. Item would be a great antique decor / conversation piece.
