The action of this particular bank appears to function well, however, I did notice that the smaller frog’s leg did not rise when the larger frog’s tail in depressed. The leg will lift manually. I would rather someone who knows what they are doing repair rather than risk doing this beauty any damage. As can be seen in the photos, the original paint is still in very good condition for an item of this age. Even the tongue has retained it’s red color. There is no rust on the bank, and the castings are all in excellent condition, with no cracks in the iron. Some chips on the paint. This is a very nice piece!
