Reproduction Spinning Acrobat Clown on a Globe, Cast Iron Mechanical Bank
Reproduction of an Original Antique. Spinning Acrobat Clown on a Globe, Mechanical Bank made of Cast Iro. I have 2. Quantity is 2. The price listed here is for just one. Please see all the photos for the condition and the dimensions. They are in great condition. No cracks or broken pieces. There are some discoloration and few scratches. May work but I can’t get it to, but there is a spring in there, may need work. The release latch lets the clown fly up rather forcefully. I WOULD NOT LET A SMALL CHILD PLAY WITH THIS!!!!! The clown straddles the spring-loaded globe and when the lever is released on the ornate circular base, your coin is supposed to drop into the collecting bank and the clown should spin, rising on his hands and head. Originally manufactured in Detroit by JE Stevens, this one is stamped Pat. 2, 1835 on the coin cover. It i s a reproduction. The dimensions are about 9 X 7 X 6.5. With clown standing on his head it is approx. Weighs 6.5 lbs. This item is so beautiful. It will be wrapped very carefully. Feel free to ask me any questions anytime. Feel free to check my other items for sale.
