This metal bank belongs to my 97 year old friend who believes this bank belonged to his Great-Grandmother. We don’t know its age, but he was told it would be very valuable. We think it was probably created in the USA because his family has been in the USA for a few generations. It has a “key” which holds thetwo sides together. It says “BANK” on the front. The “gold” trim (sort of like framing) goes up and around on both the front and back, plus there are two “flower-like”designs on the front near the word BANK. The chimney is dark brown “brick”. Coin drop slot is under the “shingle” roof and is on the back of the bank. My friend says it belonged not to his grandmother, but to his Great-grandmother. He’s been saving it carefully after it became his. Now that he’s past 97, he’s wanting it to have a new home. Plus, life brings changes so he’s preparing to sell a few old items.
