This bank is original and has a working door mechanism. The bank comes with a reproduction key which was made from a casting of an original key. It all works as intended. Locks and opens with the key. Patented August 17th 1897. The bank shows patina one would expect from a cast iron nickel plated bank that is well over 100 years old. The dimensions are 4 3/4″ wide x 4 1/8″ Deep x 6 High. Very rare to find one that has a key and has not been broken.
