J. & E. Stevens Boy Scout Camp Cast Iron Mechanical Bank 1915
Stevens “Boy Scout Camp” Mechanical bank. This is a rare opportunity to own an amazing piece of Americana. “Boy Scout Camp” was created to celebrate the 1910 formation of the Boy Scouts of America. Attributed to the highly acclaimed bank designer Charles A. The bank is in excellent working condition. The flag raises when the lever is pressed and the bank opens up for the coin. There are no Cracks and the wear is typical of the age. There is a small hole on the back of the bank, top left corner of the tree. The paint appears original and has all the original parts (no apparent repairs). There is a slight bend in the Flag pole and the stopper on the bottom holds tight, but has a chip out of the center.
