IRISH PADDY & THE PIG ORIGINAL 1880s CAST IRON MECHANICAL COIN BANK STILL WORKS
Here’s an original 1880s antique Paddy and The Pig cast iron mechanical bank made by the J&E Stevens Co around 1885. It has a lot of its original paint which has not been touched up or altered in any way. A coin is set on the pigs flat snout….. When you press down the lever in back, the Irishman’s tongue sticks out and the pig’s foot kicks the coin into the mouth. It still works, but a little oil would probably make it work a lot better. I havent attempted to clean or oil it. The bank measures 7 5/8″tall x 6 3/4″long….. Missing only the little round coin opening cover in bottom. No chips or damage that I can see. Guaranteed authentic and over 125 years old. THIS IS A FIXED PRICE BANK FOR SALE IN MY STORE. Unless you contact me first. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
