Cast Iron ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE Door Surround Bank Vault Safe Room Wine Cellar
An antique, ornate, one of a kind, rusty, cast iron with remnants of chippy white paint, bank vault door surround. Salvaged in the early 2000’s from the basement of a 1800’s bank building in Nashville, Tennessee that was being renovated. In the center, a proud and fierce feathered eagle with a banner overhead which reads: VICTOR. Talons gripping a shield with stars. Dentil and fluted molding, capitals, floral ornamentation, this bank vault door surround has it all. The number 37 in paint on the back of each piece. We didn’t do anything to this piece, because we prefer patina and age to soulless and shiny “restorations”. Eagle: 7 1/2″ x 7 1/2″. 2 Fluted: 63″ T x 7″ W. 2 Floral base: 19 3/4″ T x 5 1/2″ W. 2 Dentil: 23 3/4″ L x 4″ T x 6 1/2 W. Absolutely ideal for a safe room entrance, a wine cellar entrance, garden courtyard, anywhere you want something that will last absolutely forever and nobody else has. Or if you have a Nashville, TN road trip planned. The item “Cast Iron ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE Door Surround Bank Vault Safe Room Wine Cellar” is in sale since Sunday, July 7, 2019.
