Here we have an exceptionally nice and well preserved ANTIQUE CAST IRON STRONG BOX WITH WORKING LOCK & KEY. It measures approximately 13 1/2 inches wide by 9 1/2 inches deep by 8 inches tall and weighs about 51 pounds. These are not all that easy to find, and when you do see them, they are usually all rusty and repainted. This is the nicest example we have ever had! It retains the original black paint with the original mustard yellow pinstripe decor which gives it a great look. The interior is exceptionally nice as well as you can see. The lock has the key and it does work! It displays wonderfully and would make a nice addition to any collection. The box will be quite heavy and I will package with great care in a brand new, double wall super sturdy box.
