Description : A pair of antique Figural Cast Iron Banks in the form of ornate locking Floor Safes, J&E Stevens Co. Cromwell, Connecticut, late-19th to early-20thC. Included are the No. 50 Safe and the No. 9-1/2 Safe with original Nickel Plated surface. One is embossed on the base: KEY LOCK SAFE NO 50 / MANUFACTURED BY / THE J & E STEVENS CO / CROMWELL CONN. The other: PAT JUNE 2 1896 on a raised horseshoe. Condition : Each with expected wear, soiling, tarnish, etc. Keys not present but not too difficult to find a suitable replacement, if desired.
