Measuring 4 ¾” square, this Patent 1873 Cast Iron Mechanical Bank is called “Novelty Bank. When you open the door of this bank a cashier comes out with a tray where you would place your coin. There was original a spring that would snap the door closed, but that spring has been replaced with a wire.
