Original vintage Tammany Hall 1873 cast iron mechanical bank. Also known as the “Little Fat Man Bank” and “Boss Tweed Bank”. Tammany Hall was a New York City political organization and William “Boss” Tweed was its corrupt leader who was jailed for embezzlement in 1873. J & E Stevens and Co. Began making the banks in 1875. This guy is in great vintage condition. Chipped paint but in excellent working condition. Place a coin in his hand and he deposits it in his jacket pocket while nodding his head.
