This bank was made by the KLOTZ MFG COMPANY of CHICAGO, IL. It was made around 1915. There are several different versions of this bank; fluted columns, flat columns, key-lock door, combination door, iron sides and stamped steel sides. They were also offered in a nickel, copper flash or brass electroplated finish. These grilled safe banks by KLOTZ came in three different sizes. This is the MIDDLE SIZE. This bank is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with no cracks, breaks, or repairs. It has the hard-to-find BRASS ELECTROPLATE FINISH. ADDITIONAL PHOTOs HAVE BEEN ADDED TO SHOW THE LOCK. The lock works, but I do not have an additional key to sell with the bank. It is not listed, but is similar to #312 in the IRON SAFE BANKS BOOK put out by the Still Bank Collectors Club of America.
