Each bank will be listed separately, without any reserve. This antique 19th century Cast Iron Mechanical Bank was made by J & E Stevens Co. Sometimes called “Mule Entering Barn” or “The Malicious Donkey”. This Bank retains its original painted surface and measures 8 1/2″ long by 3 1/4″ wide and 5 1/4 tall. It is in very good working condition. You place a coin in the back legs of the donkey and press the small lever to the left to make him kick the coin up into the barn. At the same time, a small dog comes out to the left of the donkey. In our close-up photographs you can see one small break to the top left edge of one side window. There is also some light surface wear to the original paint, but there are no other problems or any restorations.
