UP FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS THIS: Vintage original Uncle Sam Mechanical Bank made by Shephard Hardware Cir 1886. This Bank has the Majority of its original paint. Shows normal wear for its age. It is in good working order. Place a coin in his hand, The beard will move and the coin will drop into the case. It has its original key. I have found a hairline crack that runs from the front past his foot and on to the back. It was possibly done in the making. The bank is very stable. Bank is stamped on Bottom: PAT. There was green felt on the bottom which I have removed. You may see some of the old glue. Nothing major only mentioned for accuracy. It measures approximately 11 1/2″ tall by 4 7/8″ wide and 4 deep.
