Circa 1877–this is an ORIGINAL, ANTIQUE mechanical bank by J&E Stevens Company (Cromwell Connecticut) and is FULLY WORKING. It is known as “Creedmoor Bank” as you will see on one of the two raised ovals on the base. The other oval reads Bowen’s Series. This was repainted at one time, however, everything else is original and it works GREAT. Shoot a penny into the slot by positioning it on the barrel and then pressing his foot. His head recoils and foot steps down as penny makes its mark. Truly an enjoyable piece of HISTORY and you won’t find a better price anywhere else!
