A part functioning cast iron mechanical bank with original paint. Stevens and Company circa 1890 1920. Depicting a magician performing a hat magic trip, a coin is placed under the hat, when the button is pushed at the back the hat comes down and the coin disappears into the main body of the form. Size in inches: H 7.5 x W 6 x D 4. Completely solid in structure and form, the surface is well aged and covered in loss of its paint and aged rust in sections as shown. The mechanism is present and works but is sticky in motion. The photos aim to illustrate the condition of this rare survivor.
