We are offering a rare, working vintage coin bank from the 1972 United States Presidential Election between incumbent President Richard M. Nixon and his opponent Senator George McGovern. Nixon won the re-election in one of the biggest landslides in history but would resign in 1974 following the infamous Watergate scandal. The bank operates by putting a coin on the trunk and pulling the tail to mechanically insert it into the bank. You can’t find this anywhere online and is a perfect piece for any history buff or anyone with an interest in United States politics. Perfect for a mantle or desk decoration! The bank measures appproximately 6″ long by 5″ tall by 2 1/4 deep. There is some wear on the bank with some paint chipping.
