Offered for sale is a very nice example of an original. “Two Story (Six Sided)” building still bank, manufactured sometime in the early 1900’s by an unknown maker. This is the japanned version, which is much harder to find than the silver building with gold roof version, and thus commands a higher price. The bank measures about 3 3/8. Wide x 2 3/8 deep. S can be seen from the photos, is in pristine condition: t. He casting around the bottom rim of the bank is uneven and appears not to have been finished properly (casting issue), but t. No breaks, cracks or other damage, and it retains its original finish as well as its original retaining screw. This is a hard bank to find in the japanned finish, especially in this condition, and would make a great addition to any collection. Please check the photos as they are an integral part of the description and provide the best overall picture of condition.
