Offered for sale is a beautiful example of the cast iron “Four Posted Safe ” combination dial bank, manufactured c. 1915 by the Grey Iron Casting Co. I t measures approximately 5″ high x 3 5/8″ wide x 3 5/8 deep, and it is in pristine condition: it has very light play wear; there are no breaks, cracks or other damage; and it retains 98% of its original nickel plating. The combination dial works smoothly but I’ve not been able to uncover the combination. This bank is hard to find (rated “D” in the “Safe Bank Book”), and even rarer to find it in this condition.
