Original Hubley Fido Bank. Vtg Antique Painted Cast Iron Hubley FIDO Dog Puppy Cute Still Bank ADORABLE! &#######xA0;This listing is for a Hubley Fido dog coin bank. The bank was made by Hubley Manufacturing Company. If you are new to my store, I LOVE Hubley Fido’s and I pick them up whenever I find one that meets my criteria. I now have several and it is time to let another one go. When I found this bank it was very dirty, dingy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a hundred years. I very gently cleaned up this fido with some cotton balls and a cleaning mixture I made. (Cleaning mixture is 30% rubbing alcohol and 70% water). This took off most of the dark grungy stains and brightened him up again back close to his former glory. &#######xA0;The rear of the bank is has some scratches around the screw. I have included this in the pictures. You can even see the 1914 engraved into the back of his head from the factory (this can be seen in the photos). This bank would make for a great gift or desk toy. Fido measures approximately 5 in height. This is a nice example of this piece. &#######xA0; Please see photos for condition.
